• No cost or obligations to enter. No information from the contestant, telephone numbers, addresses, or information of any kind will be shared or sold.
  
  
• There is no age limit but the age of the student will be considered in the judging. No one is allowed to compete who is in any way connected to Piano for Life, Inc.
  
  
• The VHS / DVD should start with a verbal introduction by the student that includes the chord progression(s) being used. The recording should not exceed five minutes and must show clearly who is playing - including a clear shot of the hands on the keyboard for a minimum of ten seconds. The camera can zoom from the pianist to the hands on the keyboard or the reverse.
  
  
• The music will be an original development or “arrangement” from one or more of the chord progressions in the Piano for Quitters or Piano for Life lesson program. Any form of melodic development can be included. In other words, it can be a song or any kind of “exercise” as long as it is based on the progression(s) selected.
  
  
• The judging will be by Mark Almond, the instructor in the Piano for Life series, 50% on originality/creativity, and 50% on skill and execution. All decisions are final.
  
  
• Prize winner(s) will be announced on the website in September within 30 days of the last entry. Please make sure we receive the VHS or DVD by August 31!
